Think wool makes you hot and scratchy? So did we, until we discovered Shepherd's Dream wool! Their eco-domestic wool comes from sheep in the Pacific Northwest that are raised traditionally on open land, without synthetic chemicals. While allergies are always possible, from our experience most people who find wool uncomfortable are actually allergic to the chemical processing the wool undergoes. If you are concerned about allergies, stop by or call us for a sample of their wool!
To keep warm in the winter, we like to recommend the Shepherd's Dream comforter, paired with an organic cotton blanket, to our customers in Chicago. In milder climates, either one (even the wool comforter!) can be used on its own without causing you to overheat. We've found that natural fibers are the only solution to keeping the whole family comfortable and dry while sleeping.
